Las negociaciones en el marco de la Conferencia de Naciones Unidas sobre Desarrollo Sustentable están marcadas por manifestaciones y protestas por parte de los Grupos Principales en rechazo a la última versión oficial del documento “El futuro que queremos”, en el cual se eliminaron cuestiones sensibles para los mismos. Este es el caso del Grupo Principal de Mujeres, cuyos intereses en relación a derechos sexuales, agricultura, entre otros, han sido extraídos del acuerdo aún en negociación por los gobiernos.
A lo largo de la jornada del día 19, asociaciones, redes y organizaciones que trabajan por los derechos de las mujeres, se reunieron en la sede principal de Río+20, Riocentro para manifestarse. Bajo los lemas de “Los derechos de las Mujeres son Derechos Humanos”, “Los gobiernos vendieron a la mujeres del mundo”, “Derechos Reproductivos son Derechos de las mujeres”, entre otros, este grupo expresó su indignación con los gobiernos por la falta de avance en estos puntos centrales.
Esta protesta se enmarca dentro del contexto de descontento general por la falta de avance y compromiso con acciones concretas en el marco del Desarrollo Sustentable. Se prevén diversas manifestaciones a lo largo de los tres días de negociación de diversos grupos sobre esta cuestión.

The negotiations within the framework of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development are marked by demonstrations and protests by Major Groups in opposition to the latest official version of the document “The future we want,” in which sensitive issues were eliminated. This is the case of the Women Major Group, whose interests in relation to sexual rights, agriculture, among others, have been extracted from the document still being to be negotiated by governments.
Throughout the day, associations, networks and organizations working for the rights of women, gathered at the headquarters of Rio +20, Riocenter. Under the slogans of “Women’s Rights are Human Rights”, “Governments sold to the women of the world”, “Reproductive Rights are Women’s Rights,” among others, this group expressed outrage at the governments lack progress on these core issues.
This protest is part of the context of general dissatisfaction with the lack of progress and commitment to concrete actions in the framework of sustainable development. Various events are planned throughout the three days of trading of various groups on this issue.
